Dave Mustaine To Work With San Diego Symphony

Dave Mustaine

Is there no limit to Dave Mustaine’s talents?

The Megadeth frontman and guitarist, it has been revealed, will be a featured soloist with the San Diego Symphony in April, 2014, in a program that will include Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” from “Die Walküre,” Vivaldi’s “Winter” from “The Four Seasons” and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 (the “New World” Symphony).

No shit.

Executive director Edward “Ward” Gill said it’s all about reaching new audiences, while music director Jahja Ling said he had a good meeting with Dave.

In fact, Dave “may conduct the concert himself (no conductor is listed at this point, and Mustaine‘s exact involvement is still being worked out).”

I know there’s a “Symphony of Destruction” joke to be made here. I’m just not that lame, so I won’t.

Megadeth will release a new album this June called Super Collider.
