Death Ray Vision In The Studio, Tracking Tunes

Death Ray Vision, in the studio

What’s that? You don’t know about this Death Ray Vision band I speak of? It’s the new side project of Mike D’Antonio of Killswitch Engage and Brian Fair of Shadows Fall, and features Seemless’ Pete Cortese, who was a member of Overcast.

That’s three members of Overcast in one band! But Death Ray Vision will not sound like Overcast. It will sound more like a punk outfit, with Fair saying the band incorporates “a sound based on our old school influences,” including the Cro-Mags, Integrity, Leeway, and Ringworm.

Yesterday, Death Ray Vision entered a recording studio today to begin tracking material for an upcoming release. On Facebook yesterday, Mike D’Antonio wrote that he was “in studio today with Death Ray Vision.” And now, we even have a picture of Pete working in the studio.

Death Ray Vision will also be playing this year’s New England Metal and Hardcore Festival in April. It is believed Death Ray Vision will track four to five songs which will — presumably — end up on the band’s debut effort.
