Maybe you’re into Deathstars.
Maybe a band that sounds like Powerman 5000 crossed with Rammstein is something that appeals to you.
Me? I can’t honestly say I’m a fan, but do I hate Deathstars. I don’t care enough to hate them. Which would imply, I guess, that I care about bands like Korn, then, since I slam them constantly.
Maybe I do. I was, after all, a kid of the 1990s, so I was listening to Korn before they were colossal rock stars under the frankly false impression everything they do is fucking worthy of praise.
But yeah — Swedish “death-glam” band Deathstars are not great.
The band will release its much-anticipated new studio album in February on Nuclear Blast Records.
Damn, that’s like the only shitty band signed to that label.
The album will be recorded at Studio Bohus in Kungälv, Sweden, with Roberto Laghi who will co-produce the album with Deathstars guitarist Emil “Nightmare Industries” Nödtveidt.
Says vocalist Andreas “Whiplasher Bernadotte” Bergh: “We are very excited about the new material and every time we hit the studio, we never know what the outcome will be. I mean, we have a general idea, but we’re never a 100 percent sure how the final result will be until we’re done and can sit back and listen to it.”
And now, for those that don’t know what the band sounds like, this is a song by Deathstars.
