This is mad phat, like that time when you were 10 and found your dad’s collection of dirty magazine.
The growing number of people turning to vinyl is slightly surprising to me, for reasons of convenience. I mean, I have heard vinyl, and the shit sounds immaculate. But I have no record player. I have a computer.
On the upcoming Record Store Day, the Deftones will begin a series of live vinyl releases.
Record Store Day’s April 20, by the way.
On that day, Deftones: Live: Volume 1 – Selections from Adrenaline drops.
“Songs from Adrenaline, hand-picked by Deftones and recorded live at Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, New York, on Oct. 13, 1996,” a press release describes.
“The initial release in a series of seven vinyl exclusive releases with the first release being a Record Store Day exclusive and the last planned to be a Black Friday independent exclusive retail release,” says the release.
“Finally, the light of day has come. Cut for vinyl by Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios from the original live analog sources and pressed on both 120- and 180-gram highest-quality vinyl at Record Technology Inc.”
