Deftones To Shoot “Tempest” Video

The new Deftones album

I’m kind of surprised.

Of the two songs we’ve heard off of the upcoming Deftones LP, that’s the one I like the least.

I feel like labels never pick the right single off of a record anymore. I listen to records, and hear potential “winners,” and these idiots always shoot videos for the songs I thought were less than.

You labels should hire me as a consultant. I’m not kidding. I have the ear.

Deftones have called on Christopher Mills to direct their video for “Tempest,” which you can hear at this link.

The song was released today on all digital music outlets.

The track is taken from the band’s seventh studio album, Koi No Yokan, which was produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who helmed 2010’s Diamond Eyes.

Koi No Yokan is set for release on November 13.
