Since the death of Jeff Hanneman, I have heard from many a Slayer fan. All have said it’s time the band hangs it up…at least as Slayer.
No one’s saying Tom and Kerry can’t carry on under a different name, or even as solo artists (since we all they’d be happier that way).
But alas, Kerry King said last night at the Kerrang! Awards that the group will continue.
“He’s gonna be in everybody’s thoughts for a long time,” King said in an interview.
“It’s unfortunate you can’t keep unfortunate things from happening. But, you know, we’re gonna carry on, and he’ll be there in spirit,” he says.
So long as it doesn’t impact the output of Exodus…I guess.
Slayer, for me, hasn’t release a decent record in eons, and without Jeff, I doubt they’d be able to generate anything any of us would actually give a true shit about.
Unless they have material leftover that boasts Jeff’s handiwork.
