Cleveland thrash vets Destructor have been dealt a double-fucking-whammy!
The band have lost guitarist Pat Rabid and bassist Jamie Boulder.
Rabid was a founding member of the band; Boulder joined in 2002 and appeared on the albums Sonic Bullet, Forever In Leather, and Storm Of Steel.
“Pat Rabid has left the band, citing personal issues, and is unable to keep his position,” explains Destructor vocalist and guitarist Dave Overkill.
“Jamie Boulder has also decided to leave. Jamie fronts his own metal band, Midnight, and decided to bow out shortly after Pat’s announcement.”
I am shocked Midnight was still an available band name.
“Sometimes change happens but the heart and soul of Destructor continues to beat fast and strong. [Drummer] Matt [Flammable] and I wish them both the best and are thankful for their years of service to the band. We will be replacing the bass and guitar positions and are looking forward to being ready to support the new record shortly. Live shows are being tentatively planned, along with select auditions in the weeks to follow. Rest assured, Destructor is here to stay and Matt and I are positive and moving forward with conviction. Stay tuned for updates to follow and as always keep the faith!”
Destructor is currently working on a new studio release called Decibel Casualties.
