The man, Devin Townsend, has been shooting a new video in the New York City area this week, and Gun Shy Assassin can tell you that it is for the song “Juular.”
“Juular” may be my favorite track off of Devin’s upcoming album Deconstruction. In fact, that’s hard to sort of quantify, since I think the whole record kicks ass. But that was basically the first song on the record that grabbed me the first time I listened to the record. It’s the third track; the second I heard it, I knew the rest of the disc was bound to be brilliant.
“Juular” is also the track that features Ihsahn from Emperor. No word whether he’ll be in the video at all, but yes — Devin is shooting a video in the New York City area for “Juular.”
He is working with director and all-around-great-guy David Brodsky (who has helmed clips for everyone, including Shadows Fall and Gwar).
In less than a month, you will be able to own Deconstruction too. It drops June 21 with Ghost. To read a review of Deconstruction and to hear “Juular,” head here.
