They may not have an official name yet, but that much-discussed mystery project featuring Soulfly’s Max Cavalera with Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato and Mastodon’s Troy Sanders has hit a Los Angeles studio.

The band have begun tracking their debut album with producer and all-around-cool-dude Josh Wilbur.

The band also features former Mars Volta member Dave Elitch.

The album will be released sometime next year, according to reports.

Cavalera claims: “It’s going to be cool. We just don’t have a name yet. The name is a pain in the ass to find a name, but the music is great. We have been working on this for two years.”

No shit. It has to be good.

The project is supposed to be reminiscent of Nailbomb, which would rule.
