Dir En Grey Release New Album’s Art

The Unraveling

A lot of people consider Dir En Grey metal. Those people are wrong.

The band’s certainly hard rock. I’d say they’re a few notches heavier than, say, a DevilDriver, but they’re certainly not metal.

Honestly, I don’t even understand why their music is good, but the band flew me to Japan and put me up so I could cover one of their shows a few years back, so…I have a soft spot for the band, on a personal level.

On April 3, Dir En Grey will release a mini album, called The Unraveling.

That there’s the artwork for it.

The effort will contain seven tracks, including a new song, “Unraveling.”

The cover features original artwork by artist and sculptor Yasuyuki Nishio.
