Disturbed’s Draiman Diagnosed With Serious Throat Condition

David Draiman

That sounds bad. Kind of like when Nergal cancelled Behemoth’s tour because he was feeling a little under the weather. But apparently, he’s going to be OK. Still, this can’t be good. David Draiman — Disturbed’s frontman — has been diagnosed with a serious throat condition, the extent of which remains private at this time.

The Boston Globe got the scoop and claims the band’s previously announced U.S. tour has been nixed. This, according to tour promoter Live Nation. Fuck, man. David — I hope you’re OK. This is no time for jokes. I wish him well in his recovery.

In a Live Nation statement, it was revealed that Draiman’s condition is not permanent, but that before it can heal, David has to stop singing for at least four weeks.

It does not seem likely the condition will hamper the forthcoming Music As A Weapon runs, which will — rumor has it — feature co-headliners Korn. Of course, that makes sense. But it’s not official yet. Still just a rumor. But yeah, it’s probably true.
