And this time, the singer didn’t have to drop dead to get out of the band.
Texas heavy rockers Drowning Pool have announced that they have parted ways with vocalist Ryan McCombs.
OH NO!!! What the hell are they going to do now? I can wait to find out who’ll be their next singer, I really can.
McCombs first joined Drowning Pool in 2006, replacing former singer Jason Jones. He was the dude they brought in after the death of original singer Dave Williams.
McCombs recently rejoined his former Soil bandmates for a U.K. tour that featured a setlist comprised of songs from the band’s Scars and Re.de.fine albums, along with a song from the band’s debut Throttle Junkies.
“We have always been a band who has gained success despite having multiple singers… maybe we suffer from reverse ‘lead singer’s disease,’” hypothesized guitarist C.J. Pierce.
“Changing things up has not always been easy, but the band has become re-energized time and time again,” Pierce continues. “We are looking to find a new singer who will give both us, and most importantly our fans, the new adrenaline shot they deserve. We do wish Ryan great success in his future endeavors.”
In other news, Drowning Pool is still a fucking band. How cute?
