Media reports are claiming two drunken assholes made a flight from Auckland to Christchurch nearly unbearable today.
Two dudes, described as “heavy metal fans,” brought a boom box on Jetstar flight JQ249 and threatened to hurt passengers.
The men yelled at staff to change the music on the flight to the relaxing sounds of Tool, and when that request was rebuffed, they proceeded to blast their own music on a portable CD player.
The two drunks were met by police at Christchurch Airport, but not before one of them tried to change his clothes to hide from the fuzz.
A Jetstar spokesman said “one of the two had definitely been drinking,” they were “rowdy and their behavior was unsociable.”
Yup. Sounds like a Tool fan.
A Christchurch police spokesman said airport police officers met the two when they left the plane.
“We spoke to the two people involved and gave them an informal warning,” he said.
They should have been arrested.
