According to David Ellefson, one of the two Daves in Megadeth as well as one of the last remaining members of the iconic metal group, new members are “diligently” being sought to replace Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover.

The guitarist and drummer both announced they had left Megadeth in November.

Ellefson tells this site that “all opportunities” are being explored, and didn’t rule out rumored returns by Nick Menza and Marty Friedman.

“The departure of [Shawn and Chris] was pretty sudden, [and] it changed the course of the plan, for sure. Dave [Mustaine] and I — let’s just say this: we are investigating all of the opportunities that are out there.

“We’re going to be working diligently to get that sewn up, because we want to get this new record done and we have some tour work on the books for later in the year. It’s time to knock this out.”

Mustaine must be a nightmare to work with. I know I am. But at least I am aware.
