When I first received the press release about Chrigel Glanzmann’s upcoming talk on the Gallic Wars, I thought it said “Garlic Wars.”
I was like, “Dude…I love garlic as much as the next guy, but who’s going to fight over garlic?”
The frontman for Eluveitie will lead the discussion on November 22 at the Zurich University and will be hosted by PD Dr. Eckhard Deschler-Erb.
In addition to Chrigel’s lecture, Eluveitie’s latest album, Helvetios, will be featured throughout the evening.
“We are super-happy about this special request from the Zurich University,” says Chrigel. “I feel deeply honored to take part in Dr. Deschler-Erb’s lecture series. This will, for sure, be an exciting and educational event.”
The Gallic Wars were a series of military campaigns waged by the Roman proconsul Julius Caesar against several Gallic tribes, Galli being the Latin equivalent of Celt.
These tribes, along with many others, made up the confederation of tribes that was the Celtic nation, or the Celtic Tribe of Tribes.
