Emmure Frontman Knew Shock Was Possibility, Wanted To Play Anyways

The other day, when high voltage was sent surging through Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri’s body as he grabbed a mike as he went to scream during a show in Russia, he actually knew beforehand he was at risk for an electric shock, but took the stage anyways.

That’s commitment, people. Or stupidity.

It’s something.

Frankie issued a statement today on his hilarious shock therapy.

“I took the risk because I wanted to step on stage and play an amazing show,” he writes.

“Your get wells and worries were very heart felt and appreciated. I’m good. I just want to play Isreal tonight and go the fuck back to Queens. Gino my monitor guy got zapped first and warned me. But I wasn’t gonna let it stop me from doing the only thing I was put here to do.”

None of us was put on this Earth to do just one thing. See, beyond spewing forth vocal poop, Franke was put here to get shocked and entertain us all.

You can see that video again here, and should. It’s Bob Saget-level funny.

“A venue with no ventilation caused the entire venue to sweat + faulty wiring and grounding caused the accident. Shitty circumstances. Truth is something like this could of happened anywhere at anytime. I’ve played many clubs that have POOR ventilation and electrical set ups I don’t care about the video or what people are saying. It’s all one big joke to me. Just lucky I’m ok.”

Very lucky. And your luck is our misfortune.
