Legend — the band that may or may not be named after that Tom Cruise movie, or the House of Pain song — have a new member.
It’s a dude who formerly played with The Acacia Strain — guitarist Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz.
If that was my last name, I’d tell people to call me DL too.
Legend have a new record done and in the fucking can, and it’s ready for release through the band’s label, Rise Records.
I’m so tired. I feel like my head weighs 20 additional pounds. All the energy in my body is concentrated around my neck, trying to keep it from dropping onto my couch. I need to write!
“The band’s new album will be released in 2014 via Rise Records,” says a press release.
Says frontman Chad Ruhlig: “It is with much excitement that Legend would like to welcome Daniel ‘DL’ Laskiewicz to the family as lead guitarist. We are very much looking forward to having him be a part of this next chapter of the band.
“I think I speak for everyone when I say DL’s reputation as one of the most creative and dominant guitar players in heavy music speaks for itself. DL and myself have both been working hard on this new album, and it will not disappoint. Be on the look out for the heaviest release in 2014 via Rise Records.”
