And they’ve got a great name, which I can not believe wasn’t taken already: Dead of Night. That shit is going to look regal on a shirt.
The band features Shadows Fall guitarists Matt Bachand and Jon Donais along with former Unearth drummer Derek Kerswill and Seemless’ Jeff Fultz.
According to a press release, the band combines “modern hard rock and metal with powerful vocals, huge driving guitars, and a massive rhythm section.” The band has tracked a five-song demo with singer Jason Witte, who is a member of Arizona’s Goaded.
“There are too many bands out there with one radio-friendly song and nine throwaways just to fill up an album,” says Witte. “We want our audience to be blown away with each and every song.”
As we’ve previously reported, Shadows Fall are currently in writing mode for their next LP, which is allowing some of its members to venture off into other projects, like Jason Bittner’s Burning Human.
