Every year, I critique Revolver Magazine for its debasing feature on the “Hottest Chicks In Hard Rock” — which is now on stands, and will be followed by a similarly-named tour and the release of a calendar.
Some people have pointed out that, at various times in the past, I have made different sexually-charged jokes or comments about numerous female metal musicians, and that I’m a fucking hypocrite.
Most if not all of my comments were made in jest, and designed solely to illicit laughter. Sometimes, I admit I let my creepy side surface, but the intent behind anything I’ve ever written on this site was purely comedic. Revolver’s whole deal is to make money through the exploitation of talented ladies, whose breasts should have nothing to do with their metalness.
Just had to get that out.
So, yeah, if you like Flyleaf or The Agonist, maybe you’ll want to support Revolver by attending the magazine-sponsored trek this April.
The jaunt — dubbed “The Hottest Chicks In Hard Rock Tour” — will also boast Fit For Rivals, Diamante and Falling For Scarlet.
Here’s the dates, if you really have to fucking go.
Otherwise, I’d dissuade you. Don’t support that sexist rag.
