There is a band called the Boris Karloff Syndrome, and it boasts former Celtic Frost and Coroner guitarist Oliver Amberg.
The group — also features Natalie Pereira Dos Santas, formerly of Exvinya — is working on its first concept EP, Kopophobia (an abnormal fear of mental or physical exhaustion), for a late 2014 release.
The effort will include seven songs and will be recorded in Dinhard, Switzerland, and Munich, Germany.
The offering will come complete with guest appearances by Tommy Vetterli (Coroner, 69 Chambers), Gianni Pontillo (Pure INC., Souls Revival), Leif Gregory (Snake Sixx Music) and Luca Leombruni (Souls Revival).
A presser characterizes the band’s sound as “a wicked mixture of industrial, metal, rock, pop and soundtrack music.”
That description makes me feel like a jack-ass for my initial interest in hearing this.
Hearing the name Karloff always reminds me of the following.
