Former Halford Bassist Launches Star Monarchy

I’d name a star after her

That name makes me think of those dumb commercials where you can name a star after someone. What a crappy fucking gift? “I’ve named a ball of gas after you!” Sweet!

Anyways, bassist Ray Riendeau, who used to play with Halford, has started a new project called Star Monarchy.

The music will feature songs written by Riendeau and some collaborations with other artists. The songs will be recorded by an ongoing cast of players and singers in various metal genres.

The first effort, Volume 1, features All Shall Perish’s Francesco Artusato, TesseracT’s Dan Tompkins, and Darkane’s Peter Wildoer.

That sounds pretty phat. To bad I’m in a rush and can’t spend more time reflecting on this development for all of you.
