A Detroit-based band Gift Giver have inked a deal with Century Media.
A press release characterizes the band’s sound as “tech/nu-metal.”
I looked them up online. They sound like they all love Meshuggah. But so many bands sound like that these days.
I posted one of their lyric videos at the end of this post. The song is pretty bad, man. I mean, maybe it’s because I’m getting older, but these young kids screaming like whiny bitches doesn’t do a thing for me.
I think I’d rather support ISIS than ever support these dudes.
The band’s debut album will surface sometime in 2015.
Vocalist Justin Johnson said of their new label alliance:
“We are very proud to announce that we have signed to Century Media Records! We’ve got a brand new full length ready and a couple new singles that will be coming out shortly. We busted our asses, dealt with member changes, and other endless amounts of bullshit to make this record happen – and it’s finally ready! It feels good to have a badass label believe in what we are doing and we hope to see all of your support as well! See you guys on the road.”
The band will also be on the road soon as part of the Destress The U.S. Tour with Barrier, Villains, Traitors and Adaliah.
