Guest Column: Three Bands You May Not Know About But Should By Bonded By Blood’s Carlos Regaldo

Guest Column

Earlier this fall, we ran a series of guest columns written by members of bands like God Forbid, Shadows Fall, Hirax, Murder Construct, Kowloon Walled City, Behold The Arctopus, and Pig Destroyer on five critical, must-have, life-changing metal albums.

You folks seemed to enjoy these so much, we reached out to our various friends in the metal world with a new topic: Three Bands You May Not Know About But Should, with a brief description of what makes each band worthy of your attention.

Today, we kick off this ongoing series with the first entry, written by Carlos Regaldo of Bonded By Blood.

Diamond Plate
These kids are currently working on their second full-length album; they haven’t toured much but should be all over the place in no time. They are all very cool dudes and have a real passion for music. Their songs explain it all. A group, I think, will be recognized in the next couple years or so.

Witchaven
Chaven for short, these guys have managed to start an almost cult following all over the West and parts of the United States. These guys have a lot to say, and prove it with their songs, which are very catchy. This band almost has its own unique sound — a band very worth checking out and seeing live.

Exmortus
A band that has been around for nearly 10 years, driven by their main guitarist and singer Conan. Their shedding and guitar solos galore will turn anyone’s bad day around. With some of the most talented guitar players coming and going throughout their long careers, they have managed to always stay true and dedicated to what they do. Whether there’s 10 people or 10,000 in the room, they always shred your face off.
