Guest Column: Three Bands You May Not Know But Should By Bloodsoaked’s Peter Hasselbrack

By now, you should know the drill. We’ve been having musicians from across metal’s grand spectrum pen brief guest columns for us on a number of engaging topics: must-read books, must-see films, and bands you may not know but absolutely should.

Today’s column comes from Bloodsoaked’s Peter Hasselbrack.

While they do get some attention they are close to as good as Behemoth but only receive 10-percent of the attention they deserve. Great vocals, killer song writing and live as well. They’ve been around many years and continue to crush skulls. Best song is “Lux Aeterna.”

Again another band with a small but growing following. They continue to churn out albums that are better than the last. Something about this band I just love and I’m not a slam fan but their music and Matti’s vocals are a lethal combination. Best song is “Code Injection.”

Their last album Never to Dawn is one of the best death metal albums I’ve heard in the past few years. I can’t get enough of it. The guitar riffs are amazing. Best song is “Elapsed in the Vortex of Extinction.”
