Guns N’ Roses — or Axl Rose and bunch of dudes you don’t know — will be making their first U.S. concert appearance in over four years August 13, when the band takes the stage at the Rock N’ Rev Festival in Sturgis, South Dakota. It will be Guns’ sole U.S. gig for 2010.
Of course, its been said a million times before that the new Guns N’ Roses pales in comparison to the original. And yes, Axl is getting on in years. I think his hair plugs are older than me at this point.
Others set to perform during the inaugural festival — which coincides with the 70th anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally — include Daughtry [Edit: Fucking sweet!], Creed and Alice In Chains.
The fest starts on August 9 and runs all week with performances from Godsmack, Three Days Grace, HellYeah, Skillet, Stone Temple Pilots, Wolfmother, Eagles of Death Metal, 3 Doors Down, Hinder, and Charm City Devils.
Wonder what the over-under is on Axl actually showing…?
