So, the tail end of last week was a total shit storm for me. I was bogged down by deadlines and I let the week get away from me as I was dealing with some “personal issues,” as the rock stars of late like to put it when they’ve gotta take a break.

Essentially, this podcast was supposed to go live last week, but before I knew it, the weekend was here, and the weekend was basically devoid of all productivity.

I present to you the overdue 47th installment of the Disastercast, featuring an interview with the one and only Nick Oliveri.

You know Nick from his work with Queens of the Stone Age, Mondo Generator, Kyuss, and the Dwarves, no doubt. But did you know his new solo album, Uncontrollable, is also nearing release?

I have a copy, because I’m cool. And let me tell you…the disc is perfect for long drives. It makes you wanna rev that engine, yo. Be a little forceful with your gas pedal.

Anyways, Nick discusses so much with us, it’d be unfair to ruin it for you by outlining it here. Let’s just say Nick can talk. And talk. And talk some more.

We also pour over the latest headlines this week, as the sounds of At The Gates, Skeletonwitch, Infera Bruo, Lord Dying, Carcass, All Else Failed, and yes, even Nick Oliveri play in the background.

Check it out, folks.

Our companion podcast, the Disastercast, follows.
