In this post, which went live a few weeks ago, I — in my usual tongue-in-cheek-yet-still-honest style — expressed my pure, wanton desire for the ladies of The Oath, especially after seeing their skintastic press photos.
At that point, I hadn’t heard a single note of their self-titled debut, so I instead praised the ladies of The Oath purely for their dangerous hotness.
Then, I received a download for the album from The Oath’s publicist, and actually listened to what it is they do, and fuck me if they aren’t awesome.
Seriously, folks. The Oath is a solid fucking record, to be enjoyed by anyone with a love for Motörhead, Danzig and Black Sabbath.
Look, I’m not just saying all of this because this week’s episode of The Disastercast boasts an interview with The Oath’s Johanna Sadonis, an outrageously sexy broad whom Peter Steele personally tried to violate.
Johanna grew up in Berlin on a steady diet of heavy metal, as I discovered, in what was a rather personal interview that really revealed she has a sense of humor.
She really opened up to me, and called me out for pointing out her side boobage. She also didn’t shy away from my invitations to come to New York for a personalized tour. In fact, she told me if I’m ever in Berlin, I should look her up at the metal club she manages.
When’s the next flight to Germany?
Listen as I fall in love, folks.
This week’s soundtrack, of course, features The Oath as well as Incantation, Incoming Cerebral Overdrive, Wormed, and Nile.
And as usual, we cover the latest metal headlines, with reaction to Gwar leader Dave Brockie’s death, album updates from Black Anvil, Every Time I Die, and Overkill, and the uncorking of the Dave Mustaine line of fine wines.
How the fuck do you pass up all that?
