We are back, people.
This podcast was originally supposed to run late last week. Alas, some things came up and I didn’t have time to finish it until this week. So here it is: the 50th episode of GSA’s Disastercast, which 9 times out of 10 is a disaster and a half.
Today’s podcast is a winner, though.
In addition to reviewing the latest headlines, we’ve got an exclusive interview with Nathan Carson, the drummer for doom outfit Witch Mountain.
The band’s vocalist Uta Plotkin recently left the band this summer to return to school, leading some to wonder what the future might hold for Witch Mountain.
Nathan tells us the band will carry on, after taking most of the rest of the year off. Witch Mountain will be back at some point with new music and new shows, but there’s much to be done first to make sure that happens.
Nathan talks to us about it all in a down-to-Earth and straight-forward way, which leads me to believe that’s just how the dude is.
All of this, of course, is set to the sounds of King Diamond, Vallenfyre, Pestilential Shadows, Suffocation, Baptists, All Else Failed, and of course, Witch Mountain.
Witch Mountain’s new album Mobile of Angels is in stores now.
Check out the podcast, kids. And you can always check out previous episodes of the ‘cast here.
