Head to the end of this post if you wanna listen to an incredible new song from Revocation.
The song “Madness Opus” from the forthcoming Deathless can be heard below.
“Madness Opus” is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s short story “The Music Of Erich Zann” and is probably the heaviest song off the new album.
“We’ve been playing this new tune for a few months now and it’s been crushing live so we’re stoked to finally premiere the studio version of it,” says singer and guitarist Dave Davidson, who is a food columnist for this very site.
Deathless was recorded with acclaimed producer Zeuss at Planet Z studios in Massachusetts.
The album is ten tracks of ambitious, catchy, and undeniably heavy material.
Revocation are touring in support of Deathless now with Crowbar in North America, followed by a full European tour with new label mates Cannibal Corpse and Aeon.
The tour stops tonight in Montreal and is set to run through August 10th in Houston, TX.
Due to an unspecified arm injury, Phil Dubious will unfortunately not be able to perform live with Revocation this fall.
Jon “Charn” Rice of Scorpion Child, formerly of Job for a Cowboy, will be filling in on the band’s shows with Crowbar, and Ash Pearson of 3 Inches of Blood will be filling in on the band’s European dates with Cannibal Corpse.
