Like 3-year-old Jake, I wasn’t able to get to the Download Festival this year in the United Kingdom. But Jake’s issue wasn’t money for a plane ticket; he’s friggin’ 3, and it was determined by someone (it’s not clear) that’s too young to rock.
Rules. Who needs ‘em?
Jake was understandably bummed about missing Download, but luckily, his cute-as-a-button mum wasn’t going to let it ruin the kid’s week.
“We decided to have our own mini Download in the back garden after I got back,” writes Jake’s mum on Facebook; the mum, of course, went and partied like a champ.
As you will see in the following heart-string tugging video, Jake’s inventive mum did everything she could to turn the backyard into something akin to the Download experience. Jake got to sleep in a tent for five days, and they listened to music, and, well, now everyone knows about it.
This Facebook group has formed, and there’s the aforementioned video below.
From the looks of things on Facebook, everyone will want to go to Jakeload next year.
Thanks to Matt for the tip.
