Howard Stern Calls Death Of Mario Comesanas “A Shame”

Mario Comesanas

Although he couldn’t remember ever meeting him, Howard Stern devoted a chunk of time the other day on his Sirius XM radio show to eulogize late Liquid Metal DJ Mario Comesanas, who died at the age of 30 — not long after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia.

As Howard noted, Mario worked at Sirius for 10 years, and got his start working at Seton Hall’s WSOU, probably the best station available in the Tri-State area. I know I’ve heard the dude’s voice, but sadly, never met him myself. Earlier this week, Zeena Koda paid loving tribute to her fallen friend.

Calling Mario “a dedicated guy to metal music,” Stern said his death was “a shame,” especially since he “was a good-looking kid.” As Howard has long held, there’s nothing better in life than being good-looking — or more specifically, a good-looking chick.
