Remember when we told you folks about that fledgling supergroup proposed between members of Mastodon, Opeth, and In Flames?

Remember how rigid your fucking nether regions turned when you read said news?

I sure do.

The peen was petrified.

Well, that supergroup isn’t as super when it comes to getting together to be a supergroup.

They suck at it, in fact.

This, according to In Flames guitarist Björn Gelotte.

He just spoke with Germany’s EMP Rock Invasion and according to Blabbermouth, the band’s still just a good idea. Nothing more.

The parenthetical supergroup is rounded out by Opeth’s Mikael Åkerfeldt and the ‘Don’s Bill Kelliher.

“We talked about it when we met in Australia a couple of years ago,” says Gelotte.

“That would be a fantastic and [a] fun idea, but nothing has been done. It’s just, like, ‘Yeah, it would be fun to do something.’ You know, you say this to a lot of people. But these are guys that would be really interesting to work with, if ever this came together. So I’ll definitely be up for it — when I have time.”

Yes, time. Money and time are two things I never seem to have enough of.

And fotch.
