Jane’s Addiction Guitarist Uses Own Blood To Make Painting Of Mother

Well then

Fundamentally, we all have “mommy issues.”

But Dave Navarro’s off the charts.

The Jane’s Addiction guitarist, as a child, witnessed his mother’s murder.

How apropos, then, that Dave would participate in an art ritual in the California desert, dedicated to his mom.

Navarro took part in a bloodletting, and then used his collected blood to paint a portrait of his late mother, Constance Navarro.

Dave was bled through a cut on his forehead, with the blood collected in a wine glass.

Hey Mom…I promise to never cut my forehead open and use my blood to paint a picture of you.

Seriously. Don’t ever worry about me doing that.
