Job For A Cowboy Wrapping Work On Upcoming EP

Job For A Cowboy with Jason Suecof

Back in December, Job For A Cowboy’s Jonny Davy broke the news to us that the boys would be releasing an EP in the spring of 2011. Now, according to Metal Blade Records, the recording of that EP is just about done.

The band have been working on the as-yet-untitled effort at Audio Hammer Studios in Florida with producer du jour and friend of Gun Shy Assassin Jason Suecof. That’s a picture of the guys working with Suecof — shirtless. Very sexy.

The vocals have been tracked, and now, the mix will begin; Jason is also handling that aspect of the production.

“It felt like a long time since we last got together to write new material,” Davy says. “After collaborating in the snow of Boston, we’re now recording our second EP. It feels good to be in Florida.”

In related news, rumor has it the band is plotting a trek with Between The Buried And Me and The Ocean that’ll take the three bands through North America this spring. Only one date has slipped out thus far…April 29 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at the Rickshaw.
