I’m usually never a fan of these so-called supergroups, because most end up sounding worse than most high school garage bands I’ve heard.
There are a few exceptions, like Them Crooked Vultures, S.O.D., Down…if I had more time, I could name more. But this project sounds like it could go either way.
MelodicRock claims singer Joe Lynn Turner (known for his work with Deep Purple, Rainbow, and Yngwie) is assembling a supergroup to take over the world.
Joe’s apparently recruited drummer Carmine Appice and bassist Michael Anthony for the group.
The band plans to write and record new music in the vein of classic ‘70s rock artists…like Deep Purple.
It could be good, but what are the chances? I don’t even really like Chickenfoot, to be honest, so…how could this be any better?
If you don’t like my logic, eat a dick.
