Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, who is not tall enough to ride any rides, likes to talk. He’s been touring with Rob Zombie this summer on RockStar Energy Mayhem Festival and has been speaking with a bunch of chicks about what’s going on with him and the Murderdolls.
In this story I saw on Blabbermouth this week, Joey was asked what’s going on after Mayhem. “I’ve got Ozzfest [dates with Murderdolls], a couple of Ozzfests, and some solo [Murderdolls] shows over in Europe. Come back, and then the fall is gonna be [a package tour featuring] Murderdolls, Alice Cooper, and Rob Zombie for the fall run. Then after that, November [will be] Murderdolls [in] Europe, then — I think; I’m not totally sure — there might be some Zombie stuff in December. Then after that’s Murderdolls all next year, besides the studio stuff with Al, and then we’ll see where I’m at at that point.”
Oh yeah…Al. Seems Joey’s working with Ministry’s Al Jourgensen. What’s that like, JJ? “Amazing. And actually I’m working with him again in the fall. Actually, not the fall — early next year…I just talked to Al the other day and we’re gonna do something. I’m not sure if he’s got a name for the project or if it’s just gonna be a solo record, but it’s gonna be the fastest thing that he’s ever done, and it’ll probably actually push me a little bit more, so it’s gonna be interesting.”
Wasn’t Al supposed to be retiring?
