Katatonia Releasing Reworked Version Of Last LP

Dethroned and Uncrowned

Good Monday, my ninjas.

It’s a new week, meaning possibilities abound. So why not start this week off with a little Katatonia news?

More than a year after releasing their phenomenal ninth studio opus Dead End Kings, Sweden’s Katatonia will return — with their first release on Kscope.

Called Dethroned And Uncrowned, the album will drop this September.

The record, according to a press release, is basically the last album, but with an even more progressive sound.

That’s phat because I happen to love progressive metal and rock, so…win, win.

Dethroned and Uncrowned allows them to explore these elements of the record further as they have reworked the album, creating new moods and textures while still staying truthful to the core of the songs,” the release says.

Dethroned And Uncrowned will be available on double LP, download and as two-disc (CD and DVD-AV) digibook set, which also features a 5.1 surround mix of the album.
