Killswitch Engage’s New LP On Track To Sell 45,000 Copies

Leaving the store Tuesday with the new KsE

The new album from Killswitch Engage is in stores now, and apparently, fans are uber-excited to get their hands on new music from the New England metallers.

Disarm The Descent, the band’s fifth studio album and first in ten years to feature original frontman Jesse Leach, is projected to sell between 40,000 and 45,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to industry web site Hits Daily Double.

Hits bases its estimates on one-day sales reports compiled after the record arrived in stores on April 2 on Roadrunner Records.

Have you picked up a copy yet?

If not, you should. Why? Well, first of all, the new album’s killer. An instant classic. It picks up where Alive or Just Breathing left off, and is the first Killswitch record I’ve been able to listen to all the way through without skipping tracks in years.

Obviously, I was less a fan of the Howard Jones years.

Plus, the more albums the band sells the first week its in stores, the more tour opportunities that open up for the guys. And they’re really cool dudes, as Jesse proves time and again with his columns.

I don’t foist shameless plugs on you folks all the time if ever, so you know I’m fucking serious when I say the album’s fucking stellar.

I just want to see the guys get a nice opening next week on the Billboard Top 200. Imagine they opened in the Top 10…that would turn some heads.

I did my part…have you?
