Well, I guess that’s it for gangsta metal outfit King 810. And I was really looking forward to making fun of them over the course of their long, illustrious career.
Two members of the Flint, Michigan, band were arrested the other day in connection to the 2013 critical beating of a man outside a bar.
The bar is also in Flint.
The band’s singer, David Gunn, and its bassist Eugene Gill, both 28, were picked up at the Detroit Metro Airport on June 12, as they were making their way to a flight bound for the United Kingdom.
The band was supposed to perform at this year’s Download festival.
Gunn and Gill were arraigned Friday on assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder charges.
They’re alleged to have attacked a man last October, beating him into critical conditions.
An investigation led police to the King 810 members, and warrants were issued for their arrest.
Both men are supposed to return to court for a pre-trial hearing June 17.
If convicted, both guys face 10 years in prison and fines up to $5,000.
King 810 is supposed to be part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival this summer. But that seems unlikely now, doesn’t it?
