The most overrated band in rock history have won the fan vote for induction into the 2014 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
The hall’s poll ended with Kiss netting 17.22-percent, of the vote, followed by Nirvana at 15.69-percent, Deep Purple at 11.93-percent, and Yes — my pick — at 10.88-percent.
I always root for the underdog.
The Rock Hall’s official poll will be used to create a single online fan vote. That will be matched against about 600 voters consisting of artists, historians and members of the music business.
So, ultimately, the poll has no fucking bearing at all.
The induction is set for April. Nirvana will likely get in. Deep Purple deserve it, and Yes are a long shot.
