Kittie, Others Sign On For David Gold Tribute

Woods of Ypres

Damn. I hate to say it, but the late David Gold may be spinning.

There will be a tribute album to the founding member of Woods of Ypres, who died in December in a car wreck.

So far, Kittie has signed on to cover Woods of Ypres’ “Everything I Touch Turns To Gold (Then Coal).” I guess most of the bands doing this tribute are from Canada.

Others signed on for the disc include Amaranth, Eclipse Eternal, Pagan Ritual, Begotten, and Arawn.

There’s also a band called Dets who’re doing something for it, and a guy named Rob Cranny.

Meanwhile, a memorial concert for Gold will be held on April 5 at The Annex WreckRoom in Toronto, Ontario. The event will feature performances by Novembers Doom and most of the band’s on the forthcoming tribute CD.
