Ferret Music will soon release the latest album from Arizona’s Knights of the Abyss, a fury-fueled metal group I have been listening to since May. Their third album, The Culling of Wolves, is, from what I’ve heard, heavier than a bucket full of Ununoctium. I think it’s going to shock quite a few people.
The disc, which will be Knights of the Abyss’ third, is due to land in stores August 17, according to the PRP. The band recorded the album in Michigan, with Joshua Wickman at Dreadcore Studios, where And Hell Followed With recorded their last one.
“We are super excited to have Josh doing this record,” the band wrote on their MySpace blog. “We believe he is gonna help us make this the heaviest KOTA record to date and really help us dial the record in the way we want to.”
I suggest you head on over to their page and listen to some of the album’s demos. it will surely get you psyched up for what is going to be a solid LP. I mean, its no Watain, but Knights of the Abyss fucking slay at what they do, and I dig it. So there, jerk.
