Korpiklaani Releasing New Album In May

Band re-signs with Nuclear Blast

I’m starting to feel like Nuclear Blast’s unstated mission is to somehow sign every metal band on the planet by a certain year.

2019, let’s say.

Because the label announces another signing almost every other week.

The latest signing keeps a band on the label’s roster: Korpiklaani, which is difficult to spell but hella fun to fucking say repeatedly.

Korpiklaani has re-signed with Nuclear Blast and will issue a new album, called Noita, in May.

The album was captured at Petrax Studio with Aksu Hanttu producing, recording and mixing again.

New accordion player Sami Perttula made his recording debut with the band on Noita.

According to Korpiklaani vocalist Jonne Järvelä, the band has “finally managed to create the balance between folk and metal in the way I’ve always dreamt it to be. Thanks to Sami’s arrangements and Tuomas’s crazy shredding of the violin.”
