Kvelertak Drummer To Miss Shows

Kvelertak

The drummer for Norwegian rock act Kvelertak will be missing the band’s upcoming shows.

“Kjetil [Gjermundrød] has been having trouble with his arm and was, unfortunately, unable to continue our ongoing North America tour,” says the band in a statement.

“He left home for Norway yesterday to get treatment so that he doesn’t permanently damage his hand, which would suck so much balls.”

Word. Almost too many balls to even imagine.

I often wonder if women are offended by such phrases. I mean, I get why dudes say things like, “That would suck so much dick,” but is that not an insult to women, who do suck dick? Notice you never hear women saying anything like, “That would lick so much box.”

The band’s found a fill-in in Jay Weinberg, who has worked with Against Me and Madball.

Jay “learned all the songs and played an amazing set yesterday in Seattle. Kjetil is a hard drummer to replace, but Jay might just be the best replacement imaginable. Thanks, Jay!! So, the tour will continue as planned, and tonight is our first show ever in Canada! Vancouver, Rickshaw Theatre to be specific. Come down and rage!!”

Put that in your bat and smoke it, son.
