Last night, Lamb of God earned their fourth Grammy nomination. Congratulations to Chris Adler and the rest of the band for the recognition.
I just hope this year, the voting members of the academy finally get this shit right. Lamb of God deserve a Grammy for their efforts over the years, and if they’re robbed again this year, I will send a mail bomb to the Grammy offices.
The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 10 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Lamb of God’s “Ghost Walking” was nominated in the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance, along with Anthrax’s “I’m Alive” (note the song’s from a record that came out in 2011), Halestorm’s “Love Bites (So Do I),” Iron Maiden’s “Blood Brothers,” Marilyn Manson’s “No Reflection,” and Megadeth’s “Whose Life (Is It Anyways?)” (also from 2011).
I guess they can only nominate well-known acts that sell a decent chunk. Hence, selecting music released last year…because Pig Destroyer, Vision of Disorder and Sylosis didn’t release awesome records this year.
Online, Adler noted the nomination and expressed gratitude for the honor.
“Thanks to my beautiful wife and daughter and all of my friends and friends of the band that have believed in us and supported us for years on end,” says Adler. “Your friendships, love and sacrifices do not go unappreciated. Tonight is a good night and I want to thank you.”
