Lamb Of God’s Adler Says Blythe’s Criminal Defense Nearly Bankrupted Band

Lamb of God

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve spoken with Chris Adler, who is suffering from a minor neck injury but still on the road and playing shows with Lamb of God.

We’ve been trying to connect, but it just hasn’t happened. Not yet. It will. Hopefully soon.

Anyways, Chris just spoke with the Virginian Pilot, who had to ask about Randy Blythe’s exoneration on manslaughter charges.

Funding Blythe’s defense, however, cost the band heftily.

“Not only were we not able to generate any income, but we ended up having to pay more than half a million dollars in legal fees,” says Adler.

“It bankrupted the entire band, no money left for any kind of payroll or anything,” Chris adds. “When Randy was acquitted, everything was on the line at that point. Either it was completely over, or we had a chance to get back out there and pay these bills and get ourselves back on our feet.”

This is why you need to go see the band on their current tour.

Keep an eye on GSA. We’ll be bringing you more Adler Chatter soon enough, kids.
