It was one month ago today that the members of Lamb of God were detained in an airport in Prague, and a month since frontman Randy Blythe’s savored sweet, sweet freedom.
One month. After paying $400,000 in bail. One month without being officially charged with any actual crime. One month on suspicion.
I have a gut feeling Randy will be released sometime this week. Just not today.
The more I think about Randy’s situation, the more incensed I become. I feel like Blythe’s already been convicted before even being charged, and I think it’s despicable that his freedom has been choked — stolen from him — for a month.
Of course, by now you know why Randy’s in prison. Some kid jumped off the stage during Lamb of God’s show in Prague two years ago.
The kid hit his head when no one caught his ass, and he died two weeks later.
Something tells me this matter will be resolved before the weekend, and that Randy will be on his way home soon. I just hope this feeling I’ve got proves fortuitous, and not indigestion.
