Pot confiscated during festival gig

I wasn’t going to write about this shit, because neither Linkin Park nor Sublime are metal bands. But this is kind of funny.

TMZ has found a police report that confirms earlier reports that Linkin Park’s security called the fuzz on Sublime, who were smoking weed at a recent festival both bands played.

The snitching led to a backstage confrontation with cops, and the confiscation of Sublime’s stash and smoking devices.

Linkin Park denied initial reports anyone from their camp would have been involved.

But TMZ’s police report suggests “security for Linkin Park approached off-duty deputies” at the KMFA Day concert at Tucson Electric Park on Saturday and that the po-po were called “because one of the members of Linkin Park was allergic to marijuana smoke.”

A rep for Sublime tells TMZ that Linkin Park felt badly and offered to replace the weed that was taken. But the rep says the band refused and “is still pretty pissed off about the whole thing.”

The incident has led to the funny hashtag #linkinnark.

That’s just funny shit.
