It’s at the end of this post, and, well, I don’t get it.
People dig Turisas, and I definitely support the Finnish band’s “battle metal” spirit. But the following song — “For Your Own Good” — leaves me wanting more.
I guess I’m not a Turisas fan. I mean, parts of the song rip, but generally speaking, I think overall it’s weak.
The band’s new album Turisas2013 hits stores in Europe on August 26 and in the U.S. on September 3.
The CD was once again produced by vocalist Mathias Nygård and the majority of the album was recorded by Nygård and guitarist Jussi Wickström in a remote house outside of Helsinki that served as the Turisas2013 command center and headquarters.
I did like the part at the end, which sounds like rejected music from the NES “Castlevania.”
Listen for it.
