Lock Up Releasing New Album In July

Lock Up

I have my buddy Mike Dumptruck to thank for introducing me to Lock Up back in 2001, and if you have never heard of Lock Up, now you have me to thank.

The extreme metal supergroup will release its new album, Necropolis Transparent, on July 1 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded in November and December of 2010 at HVR Studios in Ipswich, United Kingdom and was mixed this last January.

A press release says that “the songwriting and production on [Necropolis Transparent] surpasses everything the band has done so far. The speed, riffing and intensity make this record more than just a grindcore album and see Lock Up come into their own true identity.”

The album will feature 17 fucking songs, including “Brethren Of The Pentagram,” “The Embodiment Of Paradox And Chaos,” “Rage Incarnate Reborn,” “Stygian Reverberations,” “Roar Of A Thousand Throats,” and “Through The Eyes Of My Shadow Self.”
